The procedure

The procedure is relatively fast, and we start with a topical anesthetic to ensure that you have little or no discomfort. Allergy testing is unnecessary, because hyaluronic acid is naturally present in human skin, making it biocompatible. These products are formulated with a base of NASHA (non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid), which is completely compatible with human hyaluronic acid. After treatment with Juvéderm, you may experience some redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site. However, these minor side effects dissipate rather quickly.
