Microdermabrasion, or Dermal Infusion is a way of gently removing the stratum corneum, which is the dead outer protective layer of the skin. It provides a bit of a barrier to the sun and anything that comes into contact with the skin, but it also gets in the way of absorption of beneficial products as well as skin turnover to promote skin metabolism.
